Mycoplasma hominis IgG

Mycoplasma hominis is a small bacterium that lacks a typical bacterial peptidoglycan cell wall. Because of this property, it is not visualized on bacterial gram stains and is resistant to antibiotics affecting peptidoglycan synthesis (such as β-lactam agents and vancomycin). It is rarely associated with infection, but it is frequently isolated from the urogenital and respiratory tracts of asymptomatic healthy individuals. Mycoplasma hominis IgG = Past Infection
